With the volatile world’s oil price and that Pakistan’s continuous rise of demand for energy, natural gas has become one of the most searchable and favored alternative source of energy. Natural Gas are considered because not only is a clean energy fuel (“environmental green energy”) but also is an ideal substitute for other energy fuel like gasoline (petrol), diesel fuel, and even liquid petroleum gas (LPG) because of its higher octane and relatively stable pricing among those choice of energies.

SHAHEEN ENERGY PRIVATE LIMITED (SEPL) supply concept addresses the broad infrastructure for gas distribution. This includes identifying the gas source, converting it into CNG, as well as transporting them via trucks to customers. CNG provides an economical and flexible alternative to the traditional pipeline delivery system.
Natural gas can be delivered to the end users through 3 (three) medium forms of distribution, which are through pipeline gas (NG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), and compressed natural gas (CNG). The most common on shore distribution of natural gas had been done through the medium of pipeline distribution.

However, up until today, these pipeline distributions of natural gas in Pakistan are still not widely available to all end users that are spread un-evenly around the Pakistan. Due to the location of the source of bio methane are far away and unfeasible to extend such media of gas delivery through pipeline, there is an alternative way of the delivery of the bio methane that is through CNG, which uses the concept of a virtual pipeline.

The operating module is simple: natural gas or low pressure gas from the pipeline is compressed to approximately 250 bars and loaded into a tube skid. Then, it will be transported by trucks in Jumbo Tubes Skids. When the CNG reaches its destination or also known as delivery point, the tube skid is then connected to the pressure regulating unit to reduce the pressure of CNG in accordance with custome€s requirement at approximately 1.4 bar. In the field of CNG transportation SEPL is currently operating with 35 numbers of total vehicles being the largest fleet operator in Jumbo Tube Skids in Pakistan with total gas handling capacity up to 10MMSCFD.
